All the information for organising your visit and for booking admission into the Royal Chapel of the Treasure of St. Januarius
Accessibility

In order to guarantee the correct organisation of the visits and the silence which is due to a holy place, admission to the Chapel of St. Januarius is paid and divided into different time slots.
Bookings can be made in the following two ways:

-online, with priority access;

-directly at the Reception Desk at the entrance to the Chapel, with access depending on availability.

HOW MUCH IS THE ADMISSION FEE?

TICKET: €3.50
FREE ADMISSION: residents and natives of Naples and province, children under 18 if accompanied by a paying adult, religious professionals, journalists, disabled persons, persons accompanying the disabled, teachers accompanying school parties, authorized guides accompanying groups. To gain free admission, the relevant documents must be shown to prove the person’s right to it.
REDUCED PRICE: € 2.00 (over 65,  groups with authorized guide, Artecard, other conventions)
FAMILY € 7 (for families with 3 members; purchase the reduced “ADDITIONAL FAMILY MEMBER” ticket for each member over 18)
ADDITIONAL FAMILY MEMBER €2 (for family members over 18 in addition to the FAMILY package)
SCHOOL: €1.50 per pupil (Reduction for primary and secondary schools)

THE ADVANTAGES OF BOOKING

Admission to the chapel is not guaranteed, above all for numerous groups and at the busiest times. The group booking service enables groups to enter the Chapel via a prepaid reservation, thus avoiding queues and allowing them more time for their visit. Choose the date and time you prefer and enjoy your visit to the full!

ONLINE BOOKINGS

-It is possible to book the day and time of the visit online. The online ticket entitles you to rapid access to the Chapel and must be shown directly at the Reception Desk of the Chapel of St. Januarius
-Go to the Reception Desk at the entrance to the Chapel and show the email of confirmation (printed out or on your smartphone) to obtain the admission ticket

SCHOOLS

For schools booking is compulsory and can be done online or by sending an email to booking@demo.cappellasangennaro.it . The booking cost is €1.50 per student. Accompanying teachers are entitled to free admission.

OPENING TIMES

Mon-Sat*: 8.30 a.m.-1 p.m./2.30 p.m.-6 p.m.

Sundays and holidays*: 8.30 a.m.-1 p.m./4.30 p.m.-7.30 p.m.

*Last admission half an hour before closing time. Visits are suspended during celebration of the Eucharist, scheduled every day from 9 to 9.30 a.m. Admission times for the chapel may undergo variations due to religious celebrations or special events.

*The app for the visit is included in the admission ticket.

** The group visit requires use of radio earbuds or the special app “Zello Walkie Talkie”, which can be downloaded free on Google Play or Apple Store. Tourist guides and accompanying persons are entitled to free admission.

ONSITE DESK

The Reception Desk is inside Naples Cathedral near the entrance to the chapel, and it stays open until 30 mins. before the official closing time.

ONLINE TICKET

Buy your ticket online. On the platform you can book the day and time of admission or guarantee the availability of a video guide. You will receive an email of confirmation

HOW TO GET THERE

The chapel can be reached from the central railway station and from underground lines 1 and 2:

On foot from Garibaldi Station: 14 mins (1km)

Tram Line 1: get off at Dante (Piscinola direction)

Tram Line 2: get off at Piazza Cavour (Campi Flegrei/Pozzuoli direction

ACCESSIBILITY

There is a wooden ramp to access the entrance. There are no physical barriers inside.

The chapel is in Naples, Via Duomo 149, inside the cathedral.
