The blood of a population

The Chapel of St. Januarius sums up the deep relationship of faith existing between the people of Naples and their patron saint. Three times a year on official, solemn dates, St. Januarius renews his bond with Naples, and his blood is displayed before thousands of citizens and worshippers. And each time they hope it will liquefy.
